Adoniram Royal Ark Mariners all at sea

While members and visitors were arriving at Liverpool Masonic Hall on the 31st March for the Installation meeting of Adoniram Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners, No 552; the Worshipful Commander elect was sitting at the side of the road with two flat tyres.
WBro Andy Whittle was having a night off from his other Masonic duties to be installed into the chair of Adoniram R.A.M; but while travelling to the meeting he had a double blowout, which meant he was unable to make the meeting.
I am not saying that some Masons are cruel but on hearing that Andy had a blowout some thought it was an early April Fools, while others thought that he had overdone at lunch time.  Fortunately there were people who could make decisions on what to do.
It was decided that Andy will be installed into the chair at the October meeting. With that decision made it was time for Worshipful Commander, WBro Giles Berkley to open the Lodge.  With the lodge open the Commander asked the Lodge to stand in remembrance of WBro, David Karsa who had been called to higher service on 17th December 2022.
WBro Giles Berkley then welcomed the PGM, RWBro Keith Beardmore to the meeting and offered him the sceptre which the PGM took for a short time in order to introduce RWBro Peter Connolly the Past PGM; and two PAPGMs; VWBro, Michael Clarke and VWBro Ian Nairn.
With the sceptre back in the hands of the Worshipful Commander; WBro Berkley asked VWBro Michael Clarke to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to, Bro Simon Dawes.  Later in the meeting VWBro Michael Clarke gave an excellent rendition of the Exposition.
In the correspondence the scribe WBro Syd Ford reminded the meeting of the Provincial Grand Meeting at the Winter Gardens Blackpool on 27th April and the RAM assembly on 19th September, at the Savoy Hotel in Blackpool.

When the meeting was closed it was time for a very fine meal.  In response to his toast RWBro Keith Beardmore kept it short, humorous but meaty. (Sorry, but you had to be there)
